Club Championships 2021
What a fantastic few weeks we’ve had running club championships 2021 heats & finals. Whether our swimmers won a trophy, place medal, or taking part medal, every single swimmer has given it their best and should be proud of themselves. It’s been wonderful to see the team spirit, swimmer interaction, and competitiveness throughout club.
A few statistics for this years club champs;
- We’ve completed ~190 races
- Collected ~400 swimming race times
- Handed out 226 medals and 42 trophies
- …and had five club records broken!
Three club records have been broken by Liam Bell in the boys over 15 category, two of which he broke twice; first in the heats and then again in the finals by improving on his own times. These records have stood for 30+ years so this is a significant achievement for Liam and a reward for how hard he has worked at training over the years. Well done to Liam from all of us.
